01. Room Data Sheet (RDS)

A detailed record of the requirements for a specific room or space type. One sheet should be completed for each unique room type (e.g., Wet Lab, Microscopy Suite, Break Room).

Room Name/Number: [e.g., Analysis Workroom 101]
Area (NSF): [e.g., 250 sq ft]
Occupancy: [e.g., 4 researchers]

Environmental Requirements:
- Temp/Humidity: [e.g., Standard office / Controlled]
- Lighting: [e.g., Dimmable, Task lighting, Blackout capability]
- Acoustics: [e.g., Sound isolation required]

Equipment List:
1. [Equipment Name] - [Dimensions] - [Power Req]
2. [Equipment Name] - [Dimensions] - [Power Req]

Finishes:
- Floor: [e.g., Sealed concrete, VCT, Carpet]
- Walls: [e.g., GWB, Glass]
- Ceiling: [e.g., ACT, Exposed]

02. Adjacency Matrix

A tool to track the required proximity between different spaces. Use this to diagram relationships before drawing floor plans.

Legend:
- Direct: Must be immediately adjacent (door-to-door).
- Close: Short walking distance (same hallway).
- Neutral: No specific requirement.
- Avoid: Should be separated (noise/vibration/contamination).

03. Equipment & Utility Syllabus

A comprehensive list of all major equipment and their utility impacts. Critical for determining M/E/P requirements.
